Pharmacists working to supply hand sanitizers to their patients and communities have a helpful resource at United States Pharmacopeia (USP), the quality assurance entity whose standards of identity, strength, quality, and purity are used in more than 150 countries worldwide.
USP is facilitating the supply of quality medicines across the global supply chain, especially those associated with treating symptoms of the coronavirus. The organization is assisting in many areas, including drug development, supply chain vulnerability and future policy, manufacturing technology, and expanding the supply of safe medicines.
