South Carolina Innovation Awareness Month

In 2023, MUSC collaborated with the State of South Carolina to earn the governor's office's designation of April as South Carolina Innovation Awareness Month (IAM), bringing attention to the state’s growing innovation ecosystem. MUSC hosts events throughout IAM, including our annual Innovation Week

The Zucker Institute for Innovation Commercialization (ZI) independently evaluates and manages the intellectual assets owned and generated by MUSC. They are dedicated to transforming these assets into products and services that meet critical medical needs globally. ZI works closely with the Office of Innovation, forging paths to commercialize innovations from MUSC Their mission is to bring groundbreaking medical advancements from concept to community.
