Kiawah Island Club's fifth annual HEARTest Yard Celebrity Classic returns June 7 and 8

Greg Olsen's charity raises over $1 million for MUSC pediatric heart families

June 01, 2026

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C., (June 1, 2026) – South Street Partners and former Carolina Panther Greg Olsen will host the fifth annual HEARTest Yard Celebrity Classic presented by Lexus, June 7 and 8 at the Kiawah Island Club’s Cassique golf course.

Since its inception in 2022, the event has raised $1.2 million to benefit The HEARTest Yard, the pediatric cardiovascular foundation founded by Greg and Kara Olsen, supporting families of children with congenital heart disease treated at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and is expected to reach $1.5 million this year.

The two-day event begins on Sunday with a welcome reception and auction at River Course, featuring heart families, celebrity guests and performances by Thomas McClary (The Commodores), Mark Bryan (Hootie and the Blowfish), Ryan Cabrera, Hannah Ellis, and Nick Wayne, among others. On Monday, celebrities and supporters will tee off alongside NFL broadcaster Cris Collinsworth, Bravo’s “Southern Charm” stars Austen Kroll and Shep Rose and Olsen’s former Carolina Panthers teammates Luke Kuechly and Jonathan Stewart.

Olsen will be available for media interviews at the Cassique clubhouse at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8.

"We are honored to host The HEARTest Yard Celebrity Classic for the fifth year at Kiawah Island Club. Giving back to the community is central to our mission, and these events have raised more than $1 million to fund pediatric cardiovascular services for patients and families throughout the Carolinas," said Chris Randolph, managing partner of South Street Partners. "We are proud to be part of Greg and Kara’s foundation and grateful for the support of all who make possible its lifesaving work."

The Olsens founded the HEARTest Yard in 2012, after their son, T.J., was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Their $300,000 annual commitment over five years established the HEARTest Yard Family Wellness and Resource Center at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, which provides comprehensive mental and emotional support for pediatric heart patients and their families.

“The HEARTest Yard Family Wellness and Resource Center’s impact on South Carolina families is immeasurable,” said Mark Scheurer, M.D., MUSC chief of Children’s and Women’s Services. “Caring for a heart baby at home can be overwhelming. This center      helps caregivers to feel more confident and supported.”

MUSC and South Street Partners have a longstanding collaboration to expand health care access across the region. In 2024, Kiawah Partners, owned by South Street Partners, donated a 3-acre parcel valued at $6 million for the MUSC Health Kiawah Partners Pavilion. The 12,056-square-foot facility now provides emergency and specialty care to the Sea Islands.
