MUSC Health is making changes to some Rutledge Tower services over the next several years to help make care easier to access across the Charleston area. If your care is affected, we will give you the information you need before your appointment changes. Our goal is to make each move as smooth as possible and to keep you informed every step of the way.
You can continue to get the care you need during these transitions. In most cases, you will see the same provider, but your appointment may move to a different location. If that happens, MUSC Health will contact you directly with the new location, directions and any other details you need before your visit.

Patients and visitors should enter Rutledge Tower at 135 Rutledge Avenue, near the corner of Calhoun Street. Valet parking and patient shuttle pickup and drop-off are also located at the new main entrance.
The previous main entrance is closed for construction. Please follow posted signs and directions from valet, parking and Public Safety staff. Team members are available in the area to provide directions and answer questions.

Please allow extra time to park, locate the new entrance and check in for your visit. Follow posted signs and directions from valet, parking and Public Safety staff. Team members will also be available in the area to provide directions and answer questions.

Patients and visitors may continue to park in the Ashley-Rutledge Parking Garage. Patients who need ADA-accessible parking may find the designated spaces in the Rutledge Tower Garage, also known as the W Lot, more convenient.
Patients and visitors can access this garage via two entrances:

Standard and ADA parking spaces are available.
The second-floor pedestrian connector between the Ashley-Rutledge Parking Garage and Rutledge Tower is closed. Patients and visitors should take the south elevator to the first floor of the garage, follow the covered walkway toward Rutledge Avenue and continue to the main entrance near Calhoun Street.

ADA-accessible parking for patients is now available in the Rutledge Tower Garage. Designated patient spaces are located on the second floor.
Patients using these spaces should take the second-floor pedestrian connector from the garage into Rutledge Tower. After entering the building, take the elevator to the first floor and follow signs to the registration desk.
While the Ashley-Rutledge Parking Garage remains available, patients who need ADA-accessible parking may find the Rutledge Tower Garage more convenient.
Valet parking is available for $12 at the main entrance at 135 Rutledge Avenue, near the corner of Rutledge Avenue and Calhoun Street.
Patient shuttle pickup and drop-off are also located at the main entrance.
If you have mobility concerns, are unsure where to go or would prefer assistance getting from your vehicle to the building, valet staff can help direct you to the main entrance.
MUSC Health also has additional team members in the area to help with traffic flow, answer questions and guide patients through the current parking and arrival pattern.
From the Ashley-Rutledge Parking Garage, take the south elevator to the first floor of the garage. Follow the covered walkway toward Rutledge Avenue. The main entrance will be on your right as you approach Calhoun Street.
Once you enter the building, the registration desk will be on your right.
From the Rutledge Tower Garage, or W Lot, patients using the designated ADA-accessible parking spaces on the second floor should take the second-floor pedestrian connector into Rutledge Tower. Take the elevator to the first floor and follow the signs to check in at the registration desk.
