Information for MUSC Hospitals Suppliers

MUHA Supply Chain Management

The Division of Supply Chain Management (SCM) exists to ensure that you have what you need when you need it to provide care to our patients. Our goal is to provide you with timely service and resolution of issues you may encounter. We support all aspects of supply flow (ordering, receiving, and storage) for medical & surgical areas of MUHA as well as the hospital-based clinics located on campus. Other areas we cover include medical supply contracting/negotiations and the movement of products through supply-related systems (i.e. Pyxis, Staples, GHX, Amazon, etc.).

MUHA's Equipment Formulary

Welcome to MUSC Health's Equipment Formulary information page. Set to launch at the end of Q1 2025, the Equipment Formulary is designed to serve as the central knowledge hub for accessing pre-approved medical equipment from our network of preferred and contracted vendors.

MUSC Health has chosen to partner with OpenMarkets to power its equipment formulary. This dynamic platform will continuously expand its offerings, incorporating new items as departments and leaders continue to evolve. OpenMarkets will be working closely with our chosen vendor partners and MUSC Health to power this dynamic software that will be available to educate users enterprise wide.

Benefits of Using the Equipment Formulary

  • Unified Standards: By centralizing our clinical and non-clinical equipment selection, we will ensure consistent, high-quality patient care across all MUSC Health facilities.
  • Effortless Procurement: Access a comprehensive catalog featuring:
    • Detailed product descriptions
    • High-quality images
    • Technical specifications
    • Direct vendor contact connection for quotes and inquiries
  • Tailored to MUSC Health’s Needs: The formulary fully customizable, allowing MUSC Health to adapt swiftly to evolving healthcare demands and specific requirements.

We kindly thank our supplier partners for their continued commitment to service excellence. It is a requirement to enroll in the OpenMarkets platform in order to continue serving MUSC as a provider of capital equipment. Please contact prourke@openmarketshealth.com with any enrollment questions.
