Jessica K. Williams, MA, serves as assistant dean for students at the MUSC College of Nursing. She joined the college in 2013 and assumed her current role in February 2019 after serving as clinical education manager and student services program coordinator.
Williams earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from East Carolina University and a Master of Arts in Adult Education, with a focus on curriculum development and design, from the University of South Florida. She brings more than 18 years of experience in student services, including positions in the Career Center at the College of Charleston and as an academic coordinator for student-athletes at East Carolina University and the University of South Florida.
A former collegiate student-athlete, Williams played professional golf for two years after graduation. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and going on adventures with her husband and three children.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversees CON Enrollment Management related processes (admissions, registration, LOA, transfer credit requests, grades, course activations, schedules, graduation, Bulletin)
- Serves on CON Admission Progression and Graduation, Curriculum, Scholarship Working Group, MUSC Student Services Ambassadors committees
- Hires, manages, and oversees student services team members
- Reviews and approves academic advisements in accordance to college & university policy
- Serves as liaison to MUSC Alumni Association
