HVAC Project Update Stage 2
Bob Poyer 843-792-2892 firstname.lastname@example.org
We are about to begin phase 2 of the HVAC Project in the Library .
This Friday, July 25th, a large crane will be brought into the Horseshoe. Traffic into the Horseshoe will cease at 4:00 PM on Friday. Materials will be removed from the roof on Saturday. The large crane should be gone by Sunday.
On Monday, July 28th, Phase 2 of the project will actually begin. Library staff and hired workers will begin the process of moving the carrels, tables, desks, chairs, computers, printers, photocopiers, etc. from one side of the third floor to the other side. Carrels and the tables for the small study rooms will be moved first. We anticipate that it will take two to three days to move the furniture.
Students will have access to all of the third floor from Monday, July 28 through Sunday, August 3rd. The stairs from the second to the third floor will be reopened. The stairwells you have been using for the last six months will remain open. You can study on third floor but please be aware there will be noise for at least two, maybe three days as furniture is moved. On Monday, August 4th only the South side of the third floor will be available for use.
This phase of the project should be completed by the end of December. I will continue to send emails to you as major changes occur that will effect your studying. The monitors on the 2nd and 4th floors and the Library website will keep you up to date on the project.
