General Nature of Work:
Performs a variety of manual or semiskilled farming tasks according to the specific instructions of research workers.

Plants, fertilizes, sprays, cultivates, prunes and harvests trees and crops.
Cares for livestock and poultry.
Weighs, grinds, blends and distributes animal feeds.
Operates milking equipment and maintains sanitary conditions in the milking area.
Detects and reports signs of disease or other abnormalities in plants and animals.
Maintains, services and repairs tools and equipment.
Collects samples of soil, plants, insects and animal products for laboratory analysis or other research purposes.
Helps conduct field, laboratory and greenhouse experiments.
Collects data and maintains records for research purposes.
