Donor Scholarships

Grants and scholarships are outright gifts of money which do not have to be reimbursed. Eligibility is based on financial need as well as course of study. NOTE: Any portion of a scholarship or fellowship received after August 16, 1986, which is not used directly for tuition and fees is considered taxable income and must be reported on a 1040 tax form.

Donor Scholarships are institutional awards. All aid applicants are considered for numerous scholarships based on criteria set forth by individual donors. The amount of each scholarship is determined by the donor generally ranging from $250 to $1,500 per year. Specific scholarships are identified by College in the Medical University of South Carolina Bulletin.
