Astronomy From Down Under

Can Do team members had the opportunity to fly aboard NASA's Kuiper Airborne Observatory (KAO) during the collision of Shoemaker-Levy 9 with Jupiter. Australia was the best place in the world to observe the event. Months before the trip training and preparations were being made.

This page created by Carol Swan to relay to others my experience working with NASA aboard the KAO during the collision of Shoemaker-Levy 9 with Jupiter. Thank you Berkeley County Schools, Marrington Elementary, and the Can Do program for providing the opportunity of a "field trip" of a life time.
