Calling all MUSC cancer survivors!

MUSC is sponsoring the 7th Annual Charleston Dragon Boat Festival and we're recruiting new members for our survivor team - the MUSC Paddle Whackers! Open to all MUSC faculty, staff, students and patients who have battled cancer.

- No experience necessary, all equipment and a steersperson will be provided and 2 practice sessions will be held prior to the event
- Costs involved: just $12 for a team T-shirt and $50 minimum fundraising required
- Team members must be able to get in and out of the boat unassisted
- Only 20 spots available

What is dragon boat racing?

Dragon boats are the world's largest flat water racing canoes. The event is a full day of fun on the water with friends, family and co-workers - paddling together in 250m races. The goal is for paddlers to move in unison, combining strength with teamwork in a boat whose elaborate design originates in ancient China.
