On Tuesday, at MUSC, the Charleston Preservation Society will be unveiling another historic marker to Charleston's often-overlooked Civil Rights history. Mary Moultrie, one of the leaders of the famous 1969 hospital workers' strike, will be among the dignitaries unveiling the marker commemorating the strike at the Basic Science Building on the MUSC campus at 173 Ashley Avenue. The ceremony will take place at 3pm and is free and open to the public. Parking is available at MUSC garages for anyone presenting an event program.
