Healing Farms is a nonprofit organization that provides sustainable community-based supports to promote inter-dependence and empower adults with developmental disabilities, their families and communities. We have immediate need for all kind of items - call Amy and we'll schedule a pickup:
For the technology center: computer monitors, computers, printers, laptops, ipads, digital cameras, TV's, DVD players
For the backyard: portable basketball goal, corn hole game, wiffle ball set
For the workshop: power drill, power saw, hand saw, sand paper, corn hole set, soaker hose, wood/ metal garden stakes/ cages, rakes
For the urban farm: portable shed, pergola, garden umbrellas with stands, garden tools, edger/trimmer, weedeater, wheel barrow, planters, plants, lumber, chicken wire - anything!
For the crafting center: tissue/ rice paper, beeswax, paraffin wax, picture frames (large & small, old or new), all size paint brushes, ribbon, electric skillets or electric wax pots, Tjantings, cold water dyes, cotton, muslin or silk fabrics, plastic or metal buckets (5 gallon and smaller), jam jars, card stock paper, puff paints, retractable clothes lines
Expertise and skilled labor: If you enjoy gardening/yard work, we'd love to have you come help us keep things neat and green as a regular urban farm volunteer.
