Brain Tumor Action Fair with Guest Speaker, Mayor Riley!

(Arts/Entertainment/Community Events)

April 29
11:00 am - 2:00 pm
MUSC Horseshoe
Rachel Beard 843-792-6592

This fair will begin with the opening ceremony lead by guest speaker: Mayor Joseph P. Riley. And the brave and fearless Dr. Sunil Patel, Clinical Chair of Neurosciences, has volunteered to sit in the dunk tank as our target! Bring $5 (per try) with you to the fair for the chance to dunk Dr. Patel in the name of brain tumor research!

There will be educational vendors with information on support services in SC for brain tumor patients, live acoustic tunes by local musician, Thomas Champagne, food vendors, and fundraising opportunities for Brain Tumor Research. You can also help support research by purchasing one of our unique 'Brain Tumors Bite' T-shirts at this event!

This event is a part of MUSC Brain Tumor Action Month (BTAM). The BTAM events aim to educate the public about brain tumors, and to raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research. All funds raised through these events benefit the MUSC Foundation Brain Tumor Research Fund, a 501(c)3 charity.
