For Earth Day, you are invited to attend a special viewing of Thin Ice, a Climate Change Documentary:
On April 22, Earth Day 2013, at 13:00 (or 1 pm) in room 221B of Parking Garage I (the Engineering Training room) MUSC is joining others across this Earth for the free premier of Thin Ice-The Inside Story of Climate Change.
This is a special opportunity to see the first film (73 min documentary) about the science of climate change made by scientists themselves. It tells the story of the urgent work to understand the Earth's changing climate from the standpoint of the individuals who are on the front lines of climate change research in the Arctic, Antarctic, Southern Ocean, New Zealand, Europe, and the United States.
"The film highlights the huge body of evidence on the risks posed by climate change and the need to start reducing emissions. It is both realistic and hopeful, giving us insights into how to go forward," Barrett said.
