Calling all MUSC cancer survivors!

MUSC is sponsoring the 6th Annual Charleston Dragon Boat Festival and we're recruiting new members for our survivor team - the MUSC Paddle Whackers! Open to all MUSC faculty, staff, students and patients who have battled cancer.

- No experience necessary, all equipment and a steersperson will be provided and 2 practice sessions will be held prior to the event
- Minimal cost involved (just $12 for the t-shirt) and no fundraising required
- Team members must be able to get in and out of the boat unassisted

What is dragon boat racing?

Dragon boats are the world's largest flat water racing canoes. The event is a full day of fun on the water with friends, family and co-workers - paddling together in 250m races. The goal is for paddlers to move in unison, combining strength with teamwork in a boat whose elaborate design originates in ancient China.
