Push Up & Up
It is time for you and five of your friends to register for the 2013 Push Up & Up Challenge and to show the world how many push ups your team can do in a 30 minute period.
The purpose of the Push-Up & Up Challenge is to raise awareness and money to support proven programs in dropout prevention. It is a unique push-up competition that is competitive, fun, and engaging. Team members will take turns, one at a time, doing push ups for a total of thirty minutes. The event will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, April 13, at Marion Square.
The primary beneficiary of the event is Communities In Schools of the Charleston Area (CIS). CIS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dropout prevention program that surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. The overarching goal of CIS is that all students complete high school - and many of the CIS program graduates have not only met this goal, but have also graduated from college. CIS is currently serving over 10,750 children, attending 23 schools in Charleston and Berkeley Counties.
