Share your skills and learn new skills. Project OKURASE (www.projectokurase.org) is holding our annual Village Health Outreach (VHO) in the rural village of Okurase, Ghana July 5-16. We welcome medical professionals to work side-by-side Ghanaian professionals to provide health care directly in the village. We also welcome non-medical folks - you do not have to be medically trained to participate. Last summer the outreach group treated 1300 adult and child patients for a variety of medical concerns. We also provided education for children in health, dental care, and science. The trip includes a visit to Elmina slave castle to better understand the relationship between Charleston and West Africa. A few spaces are available with a commitment deadline of March 1. For information contact Dr. Cindy Swenson at Family Services Research Center - swensocc@musc.edu.
