Go Red MUSC! Event Planned to Celebrate National Wear Red Day

Did you know...
- That heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, taking the life of 1 in 3 women each year?
- That heart disease claims the lives of over 433,000 American women each year?
- That we can make a difference?

The American Heart Association's "Go Red For Women" works every day to fund research and fight this killer so that more women can be saved. But they need our help.

MUSC employees, students and visitors are invited to wear red and help kick off American Heart Month and raise awareness about heart disease on Friday, February 1, from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the ART Atrium to raise awareness about heart disease. At 11:00 a.m. participants will form a human heart on the stairs of the Atrium for a group photo.

This free event will feature free blood pressure and BMI screenings, freebies, heart health info, hands-free CPR demonstrations, and more! Help form a "human heart" at 11am to help show MUSC's dedication to winning the fight against heart disease. No reservations required.

It is the mission and belief of the American Heart Association that together we can help fight heart disease. Go Red MUSC! Together we can make a difference.
