Pamela Elliott RN, BSN, MHA, ONC, is the AVP of Cancer Services at McLeod Health. She has been invited to speak at the national Professional Research Consultants 2013 Annual Conference regarding her work in improving patient satisfaction scores in Oncology.

During this SCHOOLS presentation the participant will learn to design a personal improvement plan based on his/her organizational needs and determine how to best measure "success" of the plan.

At the completion of this session you should be better able to:
- Define "service excellence" in today's health care environment
- Describe at least two strategies proven to positively impact patient satisfaction
- Discuss a design plan that incorporates several strategies presented that may be implemented within participants' department or organization
- Discuss the evaluation methods used to determine the success of "improvement strategies"
