MUSC is celebrating America Recycles Day on Nov. 15 with a Clinics Recycle Day; the event will take place in the MUSC horseshoe and under the portico of the library between 11am and 2pm.
Bring an item of e-waste (see description below) to swap for a prize!
This event is free of charge and is an opportunity to exchange information about recycling, what can be recycled and how it can be recycled, as well as a forum for ideas on how to become more sustainable in a health care environment.
Electronic waste or e-waste describes discarded electrical or electronic devices and is collected for recycling at MUSC. This category of recycling includes batteries, CD's, tapes, plugs and wires, small devices and parts of devices. It does not include computers and appliances that have a plug: those need to be recycled through the MUSC surplus department (MUHA 876-7000 or UNIV 876-1691).
