Now in its 10th year, the Annual Lowcountry Carolina vs. Clemson Blood Battle is gearing up for another record-setting blood drive with this year?s theme ?10 Days of Giving for 10 Years.? The Charleston County Clemson Club will take on the Charleston Area Gamecock Club in a competition to donate the most pints of lifesaving blood for the community in support of their preferred university.
Donors may participate by donating blood Nov. 8-21 at the MUSC Donor Room, 171 Ashley Avenue (room 279 in the University Hospital)

All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver?s license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are generally in good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
