My interests in magnetic brain stimulation have focused on identifying the sites of activation, designing more efficient coils, analyzing the nature and localization of magnetic speech effects, and treatment of depression. In the latter I have been fortunate to collaborate with Drs. Gary Figiel and William McDonald here at Emory. We have treated a fair number of ECT candidates with rTMS open-label, and hope to begin a blinded multi-center study shortly.
