Volunteer at the RiverDogs Game for the Annual Kindness Beats Blindness Auction

Date: June 29, 2013
Time: 4pm-7th inning of the game
Location: Joseph P Riley, Jr. Park ("The Joe")

Come out to a RiverDogs game to volunteer for a great cause: The annual Kindness Beats Blindness Retinitis Pigmentosa Auction. All the proceeds for the event will go to the Medical University of South Carolina's Storm Eye Institute, which is dedicated to researching ways to try to prevent the loss of sight. The silent auction will begin when the gates open at 6 pm and will conclude in the 7th inning.

The RiverDogs need volunteers to monitor the auction tent throughout the game, keep an eye on items and bids, and answer questions people may have about how the bidding and close-out process works.

As a thank you, the RiverDogs will give all volunteers a volunteer t-shirt and "doggie dollars" that can be used like cash inside the stadium.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Adam Pearlman at pearlman@musc.edu.

It seems that I lost my FitBit Ultra pedometer a week ago this past Monday. Please see the website above to see what this pedometer looks like.

I most likely lost it on one of the MUSC buses traveling from Lockwood to campus or somewhere between IOP and the Library. If you happen to find it, please contact me at the above email address. I know it must be ever so lonely just sitting somewhere not getting steps.

Narcolepsy Support Group

The Department of Psychiatry is putting together a support group for patients dealing with narcolepsy. We invite any adult who is diagnosed with narcolepsy to contact Kim Leslie if they have any interest in participating. The group will meet once per month, and will be led by the group members, with support from clinicians who specialize in the treatment of narcolepsy.
