WHIRLING DERVISHES FROM TURKEY TO LIFT HEARTS
South Carolina Dialogue Foundation welcomes a special group of Whirling Dervishes from Turkey.

The performance is a meditation in motion, in which the dervishes are accompanied by a mystical music consisting of flutes, strings, chorus, percussion, and poems by Rumi. By revolving in harmony with all things in nature and transcending ego, the dervishes are to symbolize a spiritual journey to Divine Love. The performance is part of Turkish sufi customs, history and culture.
