With tax season fast approaching, we are offering a tax workshop tailored specifically for MUSC students. The Tax Issues for Students seminar is scheduled for February 7, 2013.
In addition to general tax preparation issues, the following topics will be discussed: Dependency issues; Understanding the 1098T tax form; Tax liability on stipends and scholarships; education credits; and maximizing education credits in the year of graduation. There also will be an opportunity for students to ask questions.
The guest speaker is Mr. Joseph Maggitti of Hudson Associates and Jackson Hewitt Tax Services.
