2012-08-29
Tanisha Hutchinson hutchit@musc.edu The Public Health Interest Group wants you! MUSC's Public Health Interest Group (PHIG) is an interdisciplinary student group that promotes awareness and involvement in public health and preventative medicine through activities, talks and volunteer events. We have leadership positions open for Speaker Committee Chair and Project Committee Chair. Committee chairs are responsible for arranging one event per semester and presiding over the meeting or activity he/she has arranged. For example, the Speaker Chair would recruit an expert from the community to lead a discussion of a public health topic of current interest to healthcare students, and Project Chair might organize an event to promote awareness of a public health topic. If you are interested in one of these positions please submit a brief statement (under 250 words) explaining why you are interested and what qualifications or attributes you think make you well suited for the position. Students from all MUSC colleges are invited to apply. Submit statements or questions to Tanisha Hutchinson at hutchit@musc.edu. Thanks, and we look forward to hearing from you! |
