Dear Faculty, staff, and students, ?Several faculty members, residence, nurses, students and others will soon be traveling to the remote village of Okurase in Ghana for a village health outreach to work with local Ghanaian nurses and physicians to address the primary health goals of the village, including malaria testing and treatment, goiter, hydrocele, and vision problems.

This remote village is home to 2,500 people, of whom 1,400 are children. This village has no clean water, lack of proper sanitation, limited medical care or educational opportunities, malnutrition, and food security issues. (See Photo Exhibit on 2nd floor of library).

You can find donation boxes in the basic science building, the library, the main and children's hospital lobbies, the wellness center, the Cannon Street building, Ashley River Towers lobby, McClennen Banks 1st floor, or Harborview Towers.

-Scrubs, hospital or exam gowns

-Surgical tools
