Parking

All parking arrangements for the Chapel are handled separately by the Medical University's Office of Parking Management. Courtesy parking passes for the bridal party (attendants, minister, musicians, etc.) - both for the rehearsal and wedding - are included in your fee. Two to three weeks prior to your ceremony contact their office at (843) 792-3665, and ask for the Wedding Guest Parking Coordinator. They will have parking passes available at the Chapel for your wedding party to pick up during the rehearsal. Due to construction on our campus, the Bee Street entrance into the Visitors Lot has been closed.

Wedding Party Parking - Please instruct your wedding party to enter at the service entrance, which is located right next to the Chapel on Bee Street. That gate will be up and they can pull into an employee parking lot right next to the Chapel. Please note, since this is an employee lot, it will not open until 5:00 on Fridays. If your rehearsal takes place prior to that time and if space is available, press the red call button at the gate to the lot to request the gate be raised. If parking is not available, please instruct your wedding party to go to the President Street entrance of the Visitors Lot, where they will pull a ticket. After pulling the ticket they should turn left and follow the brick wall around to the back left corner of the parking lot. Your wedding party will need to show the parking pass upon departing the Visitors Lot. On the day of the wedding, your wedding party's parking will be handled in the same manner. Your wedding party will be using the same pass for both the rehearsal and the wedding. Additional passes are not available.

Wedding Guests Parking - Complimentary parking for the wedding guests ($1.50/hour per car) may be arranged through Parking Management or they can pay for their own parking ($0.75 per ½ hour). They will enter at the President Street entrance and also follow the brick wall around to the back left corner. If you have arranged for complimentary parking for them, a small sign will be displayed on the table inside the Chapel's main door stating "Complimentary parking has been arranged for you. When departing the parking lot, please inform the parking attendant of the wedding party's name". If you do arrange for complimentary parking for your guests, it is suggested you do not inform them prior to their arrival. Guests are then reluctant to pull a ticket upon entering the parking lot and traffic will back up. If you have a printed program, you may want to include a note regarding complimentary parking.

Everyone will exit at the President Street exit. President Street is parallel to Ashley Avenue and is two-way.
