The MUSC Simulation Center is an 11,000 square foot multidisciplinary training facility featuring 14 multipurpose simulation rooms. Its mission is to improve the quality of delivered care, promote patient safety, advance the practice and training efficiency of a critically understaffed workforce, and grow to be an international focal point for health sciences education and innovative research in education and safety. The center opened in June of 2008 and within the first 6 months of operation 6300 simulation encounters from 420 simulation sessions for a total utilization of 2440 hours occurred. |
