Title:  The Aging Mouth

Abstract:  This module provides a summary of changes to the teeth and mouth that most commonly occur with aging. It distinguishes between normal changes and pathological conditions associated with aging, showing the differences between normal and abnormal conditions in the mouths of younger and elderly persons. It shows the general processes that are involved in changes to the oral tissues associated with the aging process. It discusses the normal aging process and how this may be related to the disease processes in oral tissues.
