Abstract:	This module presents the differences between normal aging and senescence. It explores the concept that pathologic conditions and not old age lead to most disabilities. It presents factors that are related to successful aging. It offers current and anticipated demographics of the older adult population and current theories on aging and myths commonly associated with aging.
