Instructions - Faculty Profile (Faculty Qualifications)

Search. Faculty members may be selected by name (alphabetical list), by full-time or part-time employment, by college of primary appointment1, by department of primary appointment1, or by semester term.

Clicking on the faculty’s name will show that individual’s qualifications in the format requested by SACS.  A single click on the abbreviated Course Number2, e.g., NURSU*409, displays the full course description; a second click restores the screen.

Multiple Instructors.  Many courses have more than one instructor included on the faculty roster.  Some courses also have small group or laboratory activities which include many faculty acting as preceptors.  For the Faculty Roster, we have included at most five instructors for each team-taught course.

Electives and Rotations.   Courses in professional degree granting programs are often conducted at off-campus locations and serve as clinical training sites.  As an example, the curriculum for the College of Pharmacy requires experiential rotations in numerous community pharmacies.  To avoid assigning course numbers to individual pharmacies, the rotations simply designate various categories, i.e., community pharmacy or hospital pharmacy.  Typically, the associate dean for student affairs in each college is responsible for clinical rotations resulting in many courses listed under a single instructor.

Notes:
1 All faculty appointments in the College of Graduate Studies (CGS) are secondary appointments.  As a result, CGS does not appear in the list of colleges.  However, the courses offered by CGS are displayed with the appropriate instructor.
