This is a program designed to mark personal and state property
so it can be identified if it is stolen. Engraving is also a good theft deterrent
because items that are engraved have a lower pawn value and are less attractive
for personal use.
The best thing to engrave on personal items is the individuals
drivers license number. As an example if you are from South Carolina you would
engrave SCDL and your drivers license number. If you are from Virginia you
would engrave VADL and your drivers license number.
