Q: Is the Campus safe?
A: Campus crime statistics are below the average of the local community and
similar institutions across the country. The entire campus is patrolled
twenty-four hours a day by uniform officers on foot, bicycles and in vehicles.
Safety Escorts are available by calling 792-2261. Emergency
Callboxes are provided throughout the campus. Do not hesitate to use
them if you need help.

Q: Do I have to wear my ID?
A: Yes, it is university policy that you must wear your Identification Badge at all times.
Q: Where can I park while I get my identification
card?
A: Parking in the Public Safety parking lot is available
on a limited first come first serve basis. Parking is also available in the parking
garage located behind the College of Nursing.
Q: I am a new employee and the building in which I
work has an alarm system. How do I get a code?
A: Have your supervisor call Mark Narowski 792-0324
to confirm your need for an access code. Your supervisor will put you
in touch with Mark Narowski. At this time you will provide him with your code.
Q: Where do I park?
A: Parking for patients and visitors is available at the
parking garage located at President and Doughty St behind the College of Nursing.
Additional parking in the patient and visitor parking lot located between Bee Street and
Doughty Street, enter off President Street. Parking for Rutledge Tower clinics is
available in the garage located at the corner of Rutledge Avenue and Vanderhorst Street.
Q: Where is the Hospital?
A: The MUSC Medical Center Hospital, MUSC Children's
Hospital, and Storm Eye Institute are located in the block bordered by Ashley
Avenue, Calhoun Street, Bee Street and Lucas Street. Follow the Campus Map link for additional directions.
Q: Where is the Education / Library Centerbuilding?
A: The MUSC Education / Library Center is located
in the block bordered by Ashley Avenue, Calhoun Street, Bee Street and Lucas

Q: How do I pay a parking ticket?
A: To pay a ticket simply place a check or money order for
the amount of the ticket in the pre-addressed ticket envelope, put first class postage on
the envelope and place it in The US Mail. Make check or money order payable to Traffic and
Transportation.
Q: How do I appeal a parking ticket?
A: There are instructions in the ticket envelope
describing the appeals process, and for your convenience they are listed below.

PARKING CITATION APPEALS PROCESS
Appeals of
parking citations issued on the MUSC campus should be made in person within 10 days to the
MUSC hearing officer.
Patients may call
the Office of Parking Management 792-3665 for information and assistance.
Students
and employees should make their appeal during regular hearing hours which are
scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 and Thursday morning from
8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Hearings are held
at the Office of Parking Management, second floor, Parking Garage II on President Street.
Visitor parking is available in the garage during hearing hours. Ask for assistance at the
President Street Entrance.
