Geriatric Outpatient Clinic

The Geriatric Outpatient Clinic provides evaluation and treatment of older patients with psychiatric problems, as well as diagnosis, monitoring and medicine management for persons with dementia and behavioral disturbances. Consultation with the patient's primary care or referring physician is also provided.

Memory Disorder Clinic

The Memory Disorder Clinic, a joint program with the Department of Neurology, provides a comprehensive approach to the assessment of patients with memory problems. A behavioral neurologist or neuropsychiatrist with experience in the diagnosis and management of dementia evaluates patients. The evaluation also includes a social and functional assessment.

Nursing Home Consultation

Nursing Home Consultation is available through MUSC by an experienced geriatric psychiatrist. Behavioral and environmental interventions, as well as staff education are incorporated.  Nursing home consultation is currently available at the following facilities:
