woodward@musc.edu | | | | | | | Biographical Sketch | | Dr. John J. Woodward received his B.S. from Texas A & M and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Fish Biology/Physiology from the University of Washington. He completed his post-doctoral work in Neuropharmacology at the University of Texas. Dr. Woodward is a Professor in the Department of Neurosciences and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. In addition to his research, Dr. Woodward heads up the Postdoctoral Training Program for alcohol researchers. | | | | | | Research Interests | • Defining the neural sites of action of alcohol and abused inhalants such as toluene
