Sheidow, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Family Services Research Center, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She completed her graduate training in clinical psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, conducting research at the Institute for Juvenile Research and receiving clinical training in Cook County Hospital’s adolescent division. Dr. Sheidow’s research interests have focused broadly on the development, prevention, and treatment of adolescent psychopathology and juvenile delinquency from an ecological perspective, with a concentration in quantitative methods. She currently is assisting the Family Services Research Center on statistical projects and economic evaluations for multiple clinical trials and a large-scale dissemination study, as well as directing research for off-site U.S. and Norwegian studies of quality control protocols in youth interventions. Dr. Sheidow recently received NIDA funding to adapt Multisystemic Therapy for use in outpatient settings with youth diagnosed with comorbid substance abuse and internalizing diagnoses. | | | | | | | | | | |
