smithri@musc.edu | | | | | | Biographical Sketch | | Rikki Lynn Halavonich, M.D., Associate Fellowship Director, Forensic Psychiatry, is Board Certified in Psychiatry. Dr. Halavonich completed a Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she is now an Assistant Professor. She is experienced in performing evaluations to assess competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, violence and suicide risk, malingering, disability, and the recidivism risk of sexually violent predators. She also has experience in Probate Court performing conservator and guardianship examinations and civil commitment evaluations for mental illness and substance dependence, as well as providing expert testimony in both General Sessions and Probate Court. | | | | | | | | | |
