Students are required to complete the online logbooks, specifying the clinical experiences they have had during the rotation. We view the log as a measure of the adequacy of the clerkship, rather than as a measure of the student's performance. Therefore, students should note in the logbook only those criteria which they have accomplished. Although some of the tasks listed in the logbook are stated in a very specific fashion (e.g., 'discussed with an attending the indications and contraindications for treatment with lithium carbonate'), the student should mark the task as being accomplished if he/she views him/herself as possessing that knowledge. Students' grades will be withheld until they have reviewed the logbook, designated those tasks which they have accomplished, and turned the logbook in. The clerkship log is available on line at E-Value. You have to log in with your student name and ID.
