At the completion of this session, the participant should be able to: |
1) | Understand the changes in prevalence and treatment of HIV-1-associated neurocognitive disorders since the beginning of the epidemic; |
2) | Understand the changes in prevalence and treatment of neurologic disorders with psychiatric manifestations (e.g. distal sensory polyneuropathy, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, and CVA risk) |
3) | Understand the impact of these disorders on functional status in HIV-1 infection |
4) | Understand the impact of these disorders with immunologic and virologic measures of HIV-1 disease progession |
