At the completion of this session, the participant should be able to: |
1) | Understand the importance of reactivity to non-drug rewards as predictors of drug abuse. |
2) | Understand the value of using non-drug rewards to prevent the initiation of dug abuse, to prevent ongoing drug use, and to prevent relapse in abstinent individuals. |
3) | Understand the close correspondence between laboratory and animal models of drug abuse behavior and its response to interventions in humans. |
