The Educational Scholarship Fund provides invaluable help to students, trainees, and scholars in the course of their education to become specialty-trained in the broad field of psychiatry. Accredited training is carried out in the MUSC Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in general psychiatry, child psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and forensic psychiatry. In addition, a highly competitive postdoctoral psychology internship program attracts trainees from across the country, and research predoctoral and postdoctoral students participate in the wide array of research activities in the Department. The Scholarship Fund provides small grant opportunities (generally up to $5,000) for trainees so that they may attend special added-value programs to enhance their education.
