Description of Research Program
Research focuses on the syntheses of novel heterocyclic agents of potential value as drugs. During the past decade, compounds synthesized in this laboratory have been found to possess antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, antiinflammatory, and cholinergic activities. Further interests include the development of dermal penetration enhancers and inhibitors of serine proteases.
