Ph.D. University of Edinburgh, UK 1991 | Description of Research Program My research interests center around the use of protein structures in the design of targeted anti-cancer therapeutics. I have joined the South Carolina College of Pharmacy from Cyclacel Ltd in the UK where I held the position of head of the structure based design group, with responsibility for directing research for the development of cancer therapeutics targeting the cell cycle. My current research focuses on the development of small molecule kinase inhibitors through computational and synthetic medicinal chemistry methods. Additional interests include optimizing and refining in silico screening methods for drug discovery mainly applied to high-throughput docking techniques.
