Postdoctoral Fellowship - Improvement of technologies in two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. |

An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available for a motivated PhD scientist to study 2D gel-based proteomic methodologies. The postdoctoral position is in the Nephrology proteomics facility at the Medical University of South Carolina and is a part of the NHLBI-funded MUSC cardiovascular proteomics center. The MUSC cardiovascular proteomics center is a multidisciplinary group with interests in mass spectrometry, microfluidics, tissue imaging and informatics. The successful applicant should have a PhD and extensive experience in two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and other separation technologies. The postdoctoral scientist will spend the majority of time developing and improving technologies associated with 2D gel electrophoresis and will also be expected to collaborate on biological application of these technologies and teach students, fellows and research technologists. References will be required. The Medical University of South Carolina is one of the oldest medical schools in the United States. It is located in Charleston, South Carolina.
