The Medication Use Policies and Informatics division consists of 3 work areas – Drug Information, Pharmacy Information Systems and Pharmacy Outcomes Management. All of these areas involve the transfer of large quantities of information.
The demands on these areas have increased significantly with the implementation of new computer systems such as MUSC eMeds Drug Management System, Admin-Rx System, and the Computerized Physician Order Entry System. These demands have also increased the interdependence of these 3 areas – hence their grouping together.
Kelli Garrison is the manager of this division and also acts as coordinator of the Drug Information Service. Margaret Wheat is the Coordinator of the Pharmacy Information Systems section and Lynn Uber is Coordinator of the Pharmacy Outcomes Management section.
