Exams
The Pharmacology course includes 3 topic exams and 1 cumulative final exam. The final exam score is counted as 2 topic exams.
Quizzes
During the course, short quizzes (10 minute) will be administered at the beginning of specified sessions. These quizzes will consist of a problem solving exercise or a series of questions focused on material presented in class since the previous quiz. The fractional total of quiz points achieved during the semester will be calculated and will be equivalent to one topic exam in determining the final grade for the course (i.e., if a total of 90 points are possible, 90/90 = 100%, 80/90 = 88.8%, etc.).
Make-up Exam Policy
Anyone missing an exam will be allowed to take a make-up exam only if he/she:
is excused in writing by the Dean, Chairman or Program Director; and
takes the exam within 3 days of returning to school.
The make-up exam may not be the same exam as given to the class (will generally be an essay type exam and may have an oral portion of the exam).
