Applied Biosystems 4700 Proteomics Analyzer

Designed for high throughput analyses, the Applied Biosystems 4700 Proteomics Analyzer is a tandem TOF/TOF mass spectrometer capable of handling the extremely large workloads associated with proteomic research. In addition to providing high sensitivity and a wide mass range, it is also able to batch process twenty-four 192 well MALDI target plates automatically, providing both molecular weight (MS) and structural information (MS/MS). Instrumental control is performed with 4700 Explorer software, and GPS Explorer software can be used to process data as well as to search databases using the Mascot platform.

We are located in room 305 of the Children's Research Institute Building at MUSC.
