Research Experience

Summer 2000: Research Assistant &endash; Wake Forest University School of Medicine Biochemistry Laboratory. Al Claiborne, PhD, allowed me to participate in a summer research experience in his laboratory, which was investigating the redox properties of flavoproteins

Summer 2002: Research Assistant - MUSC Orthopaedic Surgery Laboratory. I received a Student Health Professionals Summer Research Grant from MUSC and the NIH, which allowed me to participate in the laboratory project that investigated the efficacy of glucosamine as a treatment for arthritis, in rat models.
